In accordance with national veterinary standards and local by-laws, the following fees apply for dog registration and licensing services:

Submission Info

Submit completed forms to the Public Health Unit. Please bring your dog's previous vaccination card if available.

Note: All fees are subject to change based on Council resolutions. Official receipts will be issued for all payments at the Council Revenue Office.

Proactive Community Measures

In response to the heightened risk, the Public Health Section has initiated the following measures to safeguard the Milenge community:

  • Engagement: Concluded stakeholder awareness campaigns across all Ward Development Committees.
  • Sensitization: Scheduled educational sessions in schools, markets, and community centers.
  • Vaccination: Organizing mass rabies vaccination clinics in collaboration with Veterinary Services.
  • Surveillance: Monitoring animal bite reports and coordinating with health facilities for medical intervention.
  • Enforcement: Reinforcing mandatory dog registration as per the Dog Control Act.
  • How You Can Help

    Community participation is vital. By working together, we can prevent the spread of rabies in our district.

    Vaccinate Pets

    Ensure all dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies immediately.

    Report Bites

    Seek immediate medical attention if bitten and report the incident to the nearest facility.

    Avoid Strays

    Do not handle unknown animals; report stray sightings to your Village Head.

    Educate Others

    Share prevention information with family, friends, and neighbors.
